Mayank Dagar fetched 9 times the base price in the mini auction

new Delhi. In the mini auction for IPL 2023, like Himachal Pradesh’s left-handed batsman Vivrant Sharma, another player was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for many times more than the base price. The name of this player is Mayank Dagar. Who is an all-rounder and plays domestic cricket for Himachal Pradesh. Along with batting, he is also a left arm spin bowler. Please tell that Mayank has also been a part of Punjab Kings before. Mayank also has a close relationship with Virender Sehwag, former opener of Team India and mentor of Punjab Kings. He is the nephew of Sehwag.

Mayank Dagar has done well for Himachal Pradesh in domestic cricket this year. This year the Himachal Pradesh team reached the finals of the domestic T20 tournament Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Himachal Pradesh was defeated by Mumbai in the final. But, Mayank had performed well. Along with scoring an unbeaten 21 runs in 12 balls, he also took 2 wickets. He took 12 wickets in 7 matches for Himachal in the entire tournament. He also performed well in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Mayank scored 92 runs in 7 matches and also took 7 wickets.

Sunrisers Hyderabad started the bidding on Mayank. After this Rajasthan Royals also landed in Beed and in one stroke the bid reached 20 to 75 lakhs. After this, Kavya Maran, the owner of Sunrisers Hyderabad, bid 1 crore for this all-rounder. The tussle between Hyderabad and Rajasthan to buy Mayank stopped at Rs 1.8 crore and this all-rounder became Hyderabad’s. Sunrisers Hyderabad needed a left arm spinner after releasing Jagdish Suchit. For this reason, the team paid a much higher price than the base price to buy Mayank.

Mayank, who made his first-class debut in 2016, has so far taken 87 wickets in 29 first-class matches, scoring 732 runs at an average of 20.32. Mayank Dagar has also played 44 T20 matches in which he has taken 44 wickets at an average of 21.70. Now it has to be seen whether Mayank gets a chance to play in the Hyderabad team or not.
