KL Rahul is ruled out of IPL 2023

New Delhi. In the middle of IPL 2023, Lucknow Super Giants have suffered a big setback. According to the report of ESPNcricinfo, team captain KL Rahul has been ruled out of IPL due to hip injury. KL Rahul suffered this injury earlier this week. After being ruled out of IPL 2023, doubts have arisen over his playing in the final of the World Test Championship to be held at The Oval against Australia from June 7.

KL Rahul suffered a right hip injury while fielding in the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday. He had to be taken out of the field with the help of fellow players. Rahul was hurt in the second over of Bangalore’s innings. After this he did not come down for fielding. However, chasing the target of 127 runs, when the condition of Lucknow was thin, he came down to bat at number 11. But, he was in so much trouble that he could not run. For this reason, the entire ball of the last over was played by Amit Mishra. Apart from KL Rahul, Jaydev Unadkat is also injured and will not play in the remaining matches of IPL.

Lucknow Super Giants lost that match by 18 runs. In this match, there was a dispute between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir in the field and Rahul tried to calm it down. Lucknow Super Giants are currently at the second position in the points table. Now in his absence, the vice-captain of the team Krunal Pandya will captain. He captained the match against Chennai Super Kings. But, the match was washed away in the rain.
