IPL 2023: 5-5 crores will increase in the purse of the teams, auction may be held on this day

Ravindra Jadeja and the franchise saw a lot of tussle after he was removed as captain during IPL 2022. Jadeja was selected as the captain of Chennai Super Kings for IPL 2022. CSK won only 2 out of 8 matches under Jadeja, due to which the franchise decided to change the captain in the middle of the season and once again handed over the reins to MS Dhoni.

Jadeja played only 2 matches under Dhoni and was ruled out due to injury while fielding. He has remained silent on his future with CSK since then and the franchise also did not say much about the player. Although he had deleted many posts related to Chennai Super Kings.

Apart from Jadeja, there are a few other players for whom the franchise got a trade request. A Cricbuzz report stated that Gujarat Titans received requests for spinner R Sai Kishore and all-rounder Rahul Teotia. The Hardik Pandya-led team has declined the offers and both will stay with GT.
