New Delhi. Rajasthan Royals (RR) have suffered a major setback as their premier fast bowler Prasidh Krishna has been ruled out of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. The famous Krishna has a stress fracture in his back and will be out of action for a few months. The right-arm fast bowler has confirmed his absence from IPL through a tweet. The famous Krishna joined the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2022 mega-auction for a whopping amount of Rs 10 crore. This fast bowler took 19 wickets in 17 matches last year. Famous has not played a competitive game since the Zimbabwe tour.

Rajasthan Royals said in their statement, “We are making every effort to support and assist Famous in the process of recovering from injury and hope that he will perform strongly soon.” Our coaching staff are actively identifying fast bowlers from our test and preparatory camps, as we look for replacements for the renowned. Unfortunately, after consultation with the medical staff and him, it has been decided that he will not be able to participate in IPL 2023.

The famous Krishna became a regular member of India’s ODI team even in the absence of regulars. Famous’s injury could jeopardize his chances of being fit for the 2023 World Cup. He also made a place in the Test team in 2021, but he is uncapped in this format.

Famous Krishna is ruled out of IPL 2023 due to injury
