According to a statement issued by the BCCI on Saturday night, ‘Lucknow Super Giants have been fined for slow over rate during Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 Match-26 against Mumbai Indians at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai on Saturday. This is the team’s first case of minimum over-rate offenses under the IPL’s code of conduct, hence the penalty of Rs 12 lakh was imposed on captain Lokesh Rahul.

Talking about the match, due to KL Rahul’s unbeaten century of 103 runs, Lucknow scored 199 runs for 4 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Mumbai team could only score 181 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Rahul was adjudged the man of the match who scored his third century in his IPL career.
