IPL player accused of rape with sister-in-law, got the team a place in the playoffs, police engaged in investigation

According to media reports, the woman making the allegations is from Varanasi and is currently posted at Shivkuti police station in Prayagraj. The victim told that in 2018 she was married in Varanasi according to Buddhist rituals. According to the information, the accused is a resident of Delhi and is currently posted in the Police Department in Sambhal. The matter of the accused being already married is also coming to the fore, but this fact was hidden from the victim. After a few days, she was harassed for dowry.

Raped in 2019
The victim says that after being fed up with the harassment, she went to her maternal home. In 2019, the husband persuaded her and took her with him. In July 2019, IPL cricketer and brother-in-law raped her during a program at her in-laws’ house. When she informed about this to her husband, the victim was even thrashed. Not only this, his 3-year-old son and pressure was made on him to convert.
