If Virat will be seen playing Test matches as a batsman, then we will not get to see many big players in this series. Many big names were dropped from the Indian squad against Sri Lanka. On the players out of the team, many people believe that now their career is over. But former Indian spinners Nikhil Chopra and Saba Karim believe that one of these fast bowlers can still make a comeback in the team due to his experience.

Deadly bowler will return soon

In recent times, young fast bowlers have grabbed opportunities in the Test format, due to which fast bowler Ishant Sharma was dropped from the team. On the Khelneeti podcast, Nikhil Chopra has revealed a new role for Ishant in the team. Nikhil Chopra believes that Ishant can contribute as a backup bowler. He said, ‘Ishant Sharma still has a chance to play again. An experienced bowler will be needed in the fast bowlers for the coming series. The youngsters are doing well, so I think he will be used as a backup bowler.

This bowler also supported the former selector

Team India always needs more fast bowlers for overseas tours, so former Indian selector Saba Karim feels that Ishant can still return to Team India. Saba Karim said, ‘There are many places for fast bowlers in the team, up to 5 spots out of 15 are for fast bowlers. So, experienced bowlers will always have a chance to make it to the team if they are in good form. Because of this, Ishant still has a chance to come back.
