‘It is beyond logic for Shreyas Iyer to keep Sanju Samson out of the team…’ Former Indian cricketer expressed displeasure

New Delhi. India has selected its 15-man squad for the 5-match T20 series against West Indies. In this Rohit Sharma has been given the captaincy while out-of-form running Virat Kohli and pacer Jasprit Bumrah are not named. Apart from these, Kerala batsman Sanju Samson has also not been included. Sanju has been running in and out of the team for some time now. Sanju, who made his debut in the year 2015, has played only 15 matches for India so far.

Sanju’s fans want to see him playing continuously but he is in and out of the team. Recently he was selected in the T20 squad against Ireland but was dropped from the last two T20Is against England. Then Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant and Jasprit Bumrah returned to the team.

Now former cricketer Doda Ganesh has said that Samson is constantly being ignored because of Shreyas Iyer. He also criticized the BCCI. Mumbaikar Shreyas has struggled for some time in T20 cricket as he loses his wicket on the short ball. Doda Ganesh tweeted. “Ideally you want players like Sanju Samson in T20Is, it is beyond cricketing logic for Shreyas Iyer to ignore him.”
