Rohit Sharma hardly gets a chance as a captain. As far as Virat Kohli is concerned, he can continue the captaincy of ODIs till the 2023 ODI World Cup. The 2023 ODI World Cup will be played in India itself, which Virat Kohli will do his best to win.

Rohit’s number will come late

By the time Rohit Sharma’s captaincy number comes in ODI cricket, he would have been 36 years old. In such a situation, BCCI would not like to give ODI captaincy to Rohit Sharma at the age of 36. BCCI Targets Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul

Virat Kohli got the captaincy of Tests at the age of 27, while he got the command of ODIs and T20s at the age of 29. Virat Kohli has got a lot of time to enjoy his captaincy. Maybe Rohit didn’t get that much time. In such a situation, the target of BCCI will be to prepare Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul as new captains. If India has to make a new captain then KL Rahul is a good option. He has performed well. In England also his batting was very good.
