First Test century was scored on this day in 2012

Because on this day Kohli had shown with one of his innings that he would be the star cricketer of the future. In the year 2012, on this day i.e. on 26 January, Kohli had scored a century in the Adelaide Test against Australia. This was the first century of his Test career. His first Test century came after playing 13 innings.

This century innings of Virat could not work for the team. Because India lost this test by 298 runs. But, with this one innings, he had proved that he has come to rule the world cricket. Kohli scored 116 runs in the first innings of this Test played in Adelaide against Australia in 2012. His first century was also special because of this. Because he came out to bat when India lost 4 wickets for 87 runs in response to Australia’s score of 604/7 in the first innings. But Virat saved India from getting out early by hitting a century.
