Ganguly was dismissed by Danish Kaneria
Sourav was trying to hit a big shot
New Delhi. Former wicket-keeper batsman Kamran Akmal has shared an interesting story of the match between India and Pakistan. In this Test match played in Mohali in 2005, Team India’s captain Sourav Ganguly got very angry with Shoaib Malik. Jhalla Ganguly even threatened Shoaib while leaving the field.
In the Test match played in Mohali in March 2005, Pakistan scored 312 runs in the first innings. In response, India put 516 runs on the score board with the help of Virender Sehwag’s 173 and Sachin Tendulkar’s 94 runs. However, Sourav Ganguly failed to play big innings. According to Kamran Akmal, the reason for Ganguly’s dismissal was Shoaib Malik’s mind game.
Akmal told in the YouTube channel ‘Nadir Ali Podcast’ that Sourav Ganguly was on strike and the ball was in the hands of Danish Kaneria. Shoaib Malik was fielding close to the batter. Ganguly hit a boundary off a Kaneria ball. On this, Shoaib said, ‘Dekha Kamran, there is a lot of pressure on Dada, he hit a four on the six ball.’ According to Kamran Akmal, Sourav tried to hit a big shot on the next ball, but he got out. Before leaving, Ganguly said to Shoaib Malik, ‘You are very fast, I will not leave you, you come out.’ Sourav Ganguly scored 21 runs in the first innings.

There was a misunderstanding with Gautam Gambhir
Kamran Akmal also told about the clash with Gautam Gambhir in Asia Cup 2009. According to the former wicket-keeper batter, I appealed for out after catching the ball behind the wicket during the match. The umpire rejected it. Gautam Gambhir was speaking something at that time. I felt that he was telling me something, but it was not so. It was completely a misunderstanding, due to which both of us had a fight.
