Kia Gets Hure Response For New Seltos, Received 13,424 Bookings In One Day

South Korean automobile company Kia launched the upgraded Seltos earlier this week. It has received excellent response from the customers. The company has received 13,424 bookings for it in just one day. Seltos accounts for more than half of the company’s total sales. It has sold more than five lakh units in the country.

Bookings for the new Seltos have started from 14th July. Customers can book through the company’s website or dealerships by paying Rs 25,000. Kia No changes have been made to the diesel engine of the new Seltos. In the upgraded version of this SUV, the company has given panoramic sunroof, redesigned grille and headlamps and already powerful 1.5 liter turbo petrol engine with 157 bhp. It will also be available in the new Pewter Olive colour.

Seltos SUV last month sales had crossed five lakh units in the country. The company says that it is the fastest SUV to achieve this sales figure in the country. It competes with SUVs like Hyundai’s Creta and Maruti Suzuki’s Grand Vitara. The Seltos has been the best selling model in the country for Kia for the last four years. It is also the most exported model of the company in overseas markets. The company has exported more than 1.35 lakh units of its indigenously made to many countries.

Kia has produced one million cars in India in just four years. The company has also expanded its sales and service network. Kia aims to increase its market share to 10 percent by entering new segments. The company has a factory in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. The company started selling the Seltos in the country about four years ago. The vehicle that completed the company’s 1 million unit production milestone was the facelifted Seltos. The company plans to invest Rs 2,000 crore over the next four years to expand its presence in the Electric Vehicles (EV) market. This amount is about one-third of the total investment made by the company to start manufacturing in the country.
