Kia Sonet Aurochs Edition Launched Price in India 11.85 Lakh Cosmetic Changes Features Details

Kia has launched the new Aurochs Edition of the Sonet in India, which includes a number of cosmetic changes. This special edition of the Kia Sonet is based on the HTX variant and fits in between the HTX and HTX+ variants in the line-up. It gets a more muscular front and rear look than the original version thanks to a bigger skid plate. Tangerine inserts on the door sills, center wheel caps and front bumper have also been added.

The Sonet Aurochs Edition has been launched at Rs 11.85 lakh for the 1L turbo iMT variant, Rs 12.39 lakh for the 1L turbo DCT variant, Rs 12.65 lakh for the 1.5L iMT variant and Rs 13.45 lakh for the 1.5L AT variant. All prices are ex-showroom. It has been introduced in four color options – Aurora Black Pearl, Sparkling Sliver, Gravita Gray and Glacier White Pearl.

The main changes in the Kia Sonet Aurochs Edition have been made in the look. This includes muscular front and rear skid plates. Tangerine inserts have been given on the center wheel cap and front bumper. At the same time, the company has added Aurochs badging with tangerine accents.

There is no change on the inside. It gets an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, automatic climate control, automatic LED headlamps, single-pane sunroof and cruise control. AC vents have also been included in the rear. Safety features include four airbags, tire pressure monitoring system and three-point seatbelts for all seats.

The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine on the Kia Sonet Aurochs Edition makes 120hp/172Nm output, while the 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine makes 116hp/250Nm output. Both the engines are mated to a six-speed iMT. The petrol engine also gets a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox option, while the diesel engine is mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox.
