Kolkata. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) head coach Chandrakant Pandit is hopeful that Shreyas Iyer will return to the team very soon and in his absence, Nitish Rana will do well as captain in IPL 2023. He said that as a coach, I do not think much when the players are out. Iyer has been ruled out of the initial matches of the T20 league due to recurring back pain. He could not play in the Test series against Australia due to this problem. The new season of T20 league is going to start from 31 March. The first match is to be held between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings.

Chandrakant Pandit achieved good success as a coach in domestic cricket. Apart from Vidarbha, he also gave the title of Ranji Trophy to Madhya Pradesh. But he said a big thing about IPL.
