New Delhi. India’s star batsman Lokesh Rahul was found positive in the Kovid-19 test on Thursday. It is now doubtful for him to play in the upcoming five-match T20I series against West Indies at Tarouba from July 29. BCCI President Sourav Ganguly informed about Rahul after the Board’s Apex Council meeting. KL Rahul addressed the candidates who had come to attend the ‘Level-3 Coach Certification Course’ at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru on Thursday.
Rahul recently had a hernia operation in Germany. He was rested in the ODI series against West Indies starting Friday in Port of Spain. Ganguly also informed that a member of the Indian women’s team for the Commonwealth Games was also COVID-19 positive. However, he did not reveal the name of the player.
