Now he has made a strong comeback against Bangladesh at his home by taking 5 wickets in an innings. This is the best performance of his career because earlier he took 5 wickets for 99 runs in Sydney and 5 wickets for 57 runs in Rajkot.
Strong comeback, hit wickets
The last few years have been very difficult for the spinner of Team India. Due to not fitting in the strategy of former captain Virat Kohli and coach Ravi Shastri, he could not get many opportunities. Kuldeep lost confidence due to playing less matches and sitting on the bench more and more. That’s why he could not do well in the opportunities he got. New coach Rahul Dravid encouraged him and while returning, he took 5 wickets in the very first match.
Got only 8 matches in the last 5 years
Since making his Test debut against Australia in March 2017, Kuldeep has played only 8 matches so far. During this, the Indian team played more than 50 Test matches, but due to injury and sometimes average performance, he had to sit out of the team. Now he has made a strong comeback against Bangladesh by taking 5 wickets.
