Giving information on Thursday, the FIFA Football World Cup organizers said that along with this, viewers of 18 years and above will also have to download the official phone app Etherage, which will monitor their activities and health status. The organizers of the World Cup said, “A green signal from Etheredge will be necessary to enter indoor public places.”

However, it has been told that corona vaccination is not mandatory for the spectators in the tournament to be held from 20 November to 18 December. Visitors will have to show a negative RTPCR report 48 hours prior to arrival in Qatar or an official Rapid Antigen Test report 24 hours prior to arrival.

The Supreme Committee on the Delivery and Legacy of the World Cup said in a statement, COVID-19 testing has been made mandatory for visitors aged six and over. The FIFA Football World Cup will be held in Qatar from 20 November to 18 December. Organizers expect 1.2 million people to attend, but vaccination has not been made mandatory for them.

A rapid antigen test done 24 hours prior to landing in Qatar will be accepted only if it is done at an official medical facility. If football fans do not have symptoms of COVID-19, they will not need any further tests in Qatar.

The decisions of the World Cup Public Health Policy applicable from 4 September will apply to all passengers arriving in Qatar. Wearing a mask will be mandatory on public transport, which includes the metro system.
