KTM’s X-Bow GT-XR car will be rocketed in 7 seconds, launched at this price


KTM is famous for its sports bikes all over the world including India. However, the latest product from the Australian company is a road-legal supercar that has a top speed of 280 kmph and is capable of doing 0-100 kmph in just 3.4 seconds and 100-200 kmph in just 6.9 seconds. Equipped with a carbon fiber body and aluminum frame, the KTM X-Bow GT-XR car weighs 1,130 kg and comes with Audi’s 2.5-liter 5-cylinder engine. Till now KTM has been making race truck focused machines, but the X-Bow GT-XR is a road-legal car.

KTM will manufacture 100 units of its X-Bow GT-XR and the price of each of these models will be Rs. worth $284,700 (roughly Rs. 2.26 crores), excluding taxes.

Talking about the features, the GT-XR has a double seater carbon fiber monocoque chassis. It gets a carbon fiber body. The biggest feature of its design is its door, which opens upwards like the door of a fighter plane. It is a single door, which opens with the help of hydraulics. Whereas, the upper part of the engine opens upwards on the other side.

It gets Audi’s 2.5 liter 5-cylinder engine, which generates 500 bhp and 581 Nm power. This gives the car a weight distribution of 44:56 (front to rear). The cooling system is handled by a large radiator mounted on the left side and a turbo intercooler on the right. It has a small luggage space of 160 liters and a fuel tank of 95 liters.

This KTM car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and 100 to 200 km/h in just 6.9 seconds. Its top speed is 280 km/h.
