Kumar Sangakkara expects better performance from Rajasthan Royals in upcoming IPL we have a strong team

Rajasthan Royals director of cricket and head coach Kumar Sangakkara believes they have a “very capable” side that can put up a strong performance in the Indian Premier League after three poor seasons.
Royals have been ranked seventh, eighth and seventh in the last three seasons. The upcoming season of IPL will start from March 26.

Former Sri Lanka captain Sangakkara said, “We know that we need to do a lot of work for our team in the off-season. I think we were able to identify the departments that needed attention and followed due process while selecting the players for the auction. We were able to meet the parameters set for us.

He said, “I think the franchise has done a great job choosing a strong team.” Responding to the team combination, Sangakkara said that the presence of Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravichandran Ashwin will make a big difference.

“We have two of the best spinners in the IPL in terms of leg spin and off spin in Chahal and Ashwin. We have a strong fast bowling line-up in (Trent) Boult, Famous (Krishna), (Navdeep) Saini, (Nathan) Coulter-Nile, (Obed) McKay, along with Yashasvi (Jaiswal), (Sanju) Samson. And there is (Jos) Butler whom we retained.

Kolkata Knight Riders have to create panic in IPL, then these 5 players will be in charge, it is for Shreyas Iyer

Sangakkara said, “We have depth in every department, James Neesham, Mitchell and Recy van der Dussen are fine cricketers. We also have some good young Indian cricketers. The main thing is that our team is very capable.
