Charismatic performances by Harbhajan and Gambhir go in vain

New Delhi. The second match of Legends League Cricket 2023 was played on Saturday between World Giants and India Maharaja in Doha. In this exciting match, India Maharaja’s team had to face defeat by two runs against World Giants. Chasing the target of 167 runs given by the World Giants, India Maharaja’s team could only manage 164 runs at the loss of five wickets in the allotted overs.

While opening the innings for Maharaja, captain Gautam Gambhir appeared in tremendous rhythm. He played an excellent half-century inning of 68 runs in 42 balls. During this, nine fours and an excellent six came out of his bat. Despite this, the Maharaja’s team failed to win.

Apart from Gautam Gambhir, his opening partner Robin Uthappa was also seen in good touch. He faced a total of 21 balls while starting the innings. Meanwhile, managed to score 29 runs with the help of four fours and a six.

In this match for World Giants, Ricardo Powell achieved maximum two successes. Apart from this, Chris Mapofu, Tino Best and Brett Lee achieved one success each.

World Giants scored 166 runs:

Earlier, batting first after winning the toss in Doha, the World Giants team managed to score 166 runs at the loss of eight wickets in the stipulated overs. Shane Watson, batting at number three for the team, played the highest half-century innings of 55 runs in 32 balls. Apart from this, captain Aaron Finch contributed 53 runs in 31 balls. Apart from these two batsmen, other batsmen of World Giants were seen battling in front of India Maharaja’s bowlers.

Harbhajan Singh took four wickets:

Harbhajan Singh was the most successful bowler for India Maharaja. While bowling two overs for the team, he got maximum four success by spending just 13 runs. Apart from this, Praveen Tambe took two wickets and Irfan Pathan took one wicket.
