India’s star boxer Lovlina Borgohain on Monday termed her gold medal at the Asian Championships as “very important” and said that her first tournament in the new weight category will help her regain lost form. Lovlina was battling poor form after winning the bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics. Keeping in mind the Paris Olympics, he has changed the weight category from 69 to 75 kg.

India won 4 gold, two silver and six bronze medals in the Asian Championship. All four gold medals were won by female boxers.
