Mahindra has claimed that the new INGLO platform will be one of the lightest skateboard platforms, will be equipped with a high energy density battery and will use Volkswagen’s Modular Electric Drive Matrix Battery (MEB) platform components. Initially, the models will be launched within two series, of which the XUV brand will bring models equipped with futuristic design, performance and dynamic innovation, while the BE brand will introduce models equipped with bold and strong design style.
The first SUV to be launched will be the Mahindra XUV.e8, which will hit the road in December 2024. The length of this SUV will be 4740 mm, width 1900 mm, height 1760 mm and wheelbase 2762 mm. Its design will be inspired by the XUV700 flagship SUV and it will come with an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system.
Whereas, Mahindra will go on sale for the XUV.e9 in 2025. Its length will be 4790 mm, width 1905 mm, height 1690 mm and wheelbase 2775 mm. The design of the SUV will be coupe styled as we saw on the Mahindra XUV 500 Aero concept at Auto Expo 2016
The BE05 will measure 4370 meters in length, 1900 meters in width and 1635 meters in height with a wheelbase of 2775 metres. Mahindra says that it will be a sports electric vehicle (SEV) and will have a bold design inspired by racing. The sale of the EV will start in 2025.
The BE.07 is scheduled to be launched in 2026 and will be 4565 meters in length, 1900 meters in width and 1660 meters in height, and will have the same wheelbase of 2775 meters as the BE.05. It will be a three-row family SUV that will be designed for long distance travel.
No information has been provided about the BE.09 at the event, but the company has said that it will be a Grand Tourer SUV, which will get a dynamic roof and solid build and look.
Talking about the INGLO platform, the company claims that it will offer a futuristic, augmented reality-enabled heads-up display, edge-to-edge screen, 5G network capability, and over-the-air updates and multi-sensor driving experience. , which play an important role in today’s connected era. It also offers a significant reduction in underbody weight and will follow a common battery pack design with lean module and cell-to-pack technology using two different state-of-the-art cell architectures – Blade and Prismatic. These models will have 60-80 kWhr battery capacity with 175 kW fast-charge support and 30
