Martin Guptill again becomes Leading run getter in T20I history to beat Rohit Sharma

A war has broken out in T20 International cricket between New Zealand team opener Martin Guptill, Indian cricket team opener Rohit Sharma and former captain Virat Kohli. Sometimes a batsman becomes the highest run scorer in T20 International cricket. In such a situation, once again Rohit Sharma’s world record has been broken by Martin Guptill.

Indian opener Rohit Sharma had remained the highest run-scorer in T20 International cricket for some time, but now this achievement has been made by Kiwi opener Martin Guptill. As Guptill scored his sixth run in the last match of the three-match T20I series against West Indies, he became the best run-scorer in T20I cricket.

However, Rohit Sharma will make this world record his name again. Guptill is not to play any T20 International match as of now, while Rohit Sharma will play T20 International against Pakistan on August 28 in the Asia Cup 2022 and he will leave Guptill behind by scoring 11 runs. If Rohit scores 13 runs then he will be the first batsman to score 3500 T20I runs.

Right-handed batsman Martin Guptill is currently at the top of T20I cricket with 3497 runs, while Rohit Sharma is at number two with 3487 runs. Virat Kohli’s name is on the third position, who has scored 3308 runs. This year Virat Kohli has missed many T20 International matches. In such a situation, it is expected that when he comes to Asia, runs will come off his bat.
