New Delhi. The first match of the ongoing Test series between Bangladesh and Afghanistan is being played in Mirpur from June 14. In this match, Afghanistan’s fast bowler Nijat Masood has created history by bowling wreaking havoc. He has become the second bowler for the Afghan team to take a five-wicket haul in his debut test match.
Before Nijat Masood, this special achievement was recorded only in the name of Mir Hamza. Hamza took five wickets while making his Test debut in the year 2019. Not only this, Nijat has become the third Test bowler of Afghanistan, who has done the feat of taking five wickets. Before him, this achievement was recorded only in the names of Amir Hamza and Rashid Khan.
Masood became the 22nd bowler to take a wicket on the first ball.
Nijat Masood has become the 22nd bowler to take a wicket on the first ball. For the first time in the history of cricket, this feat was done by Australian player Tom Horan. Masood achieved this feat by getting Bangladeshi opener Zakir Hasan caught out by Zazai. Hasan could contribute only one run in the first innings for his team.
