Meerut’s Mansi Yadav selected in UP women’s hockey team, will show strength in Odisha


Meerut. Arjuna Awardee Vandana Kataria started her future by taking hockey training in the grounds of NSS College in Meerut, UP. Mansi Yadav has been selected for the national competition in the women’s hockey team of Uttar Pradesh from the same ground. Mansi Yadav will participate in the UP team from Meerut in the 10-day National Hockey Tournament to be held in Odisha from 13th April.

In a special conversation with News18 Local, Mansi Yadav said that the daughters of poor, deprived families want to make their future in the field of hockey, but they are not able to move forward financially. All of them are assisted by the NAS College Management and the Principal. He told that all other types of facilities including hockey stick ball are made available by NSS college for them to play. Also said that due to the excellent training of coach Pradeep Chinyoti, he has been selected in the Uttar Pradesh team. Mansi said that this is just the beginning. I want to bring gold for the country by participating in the Olympics.

A player has been selected after 10 years
Hockey coach Pradeep told that after 10 years a player has been selected in the UP team from his field. He says that daughters have a lot of talent. The way the government is now helping women players in the field of hockey itself. Daughters are inspired by him to move forward. Let’s tell that all the daughters including Mansi Yadav practice in this ground. Free education is provided to them.
