England wicket-keeper batsman Jos Buttler scored his second century of the season in the match played against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. This is Buttler’s third century for Rajasthan and he has become the first batsman to score three centuries for this franchise. Buttler scored a century of 103 runs in 61 balls with the help of nine fours and five sixes against Kolkata. After this innings of Butler, former England captain Michael Vaughan has called him the best T20 player in the world.
Buttler has scored runs at an average of 80.5 in the shortest format of cricket since the T20 World Cup played in October last year and has a strike rate of 154.43 during this period. He has scored 375 runs in six matches so far in IPL 2022 and he continues to dominate the Orange Cap. After the match between Kolkata and Rajasthan on Monday, Michael Vaughan tweeted and told which player is the best T20 player in the world at the moment. Taking the name of Jos Buttler, Vaughan wrote, ‘World’s best T20 player, Jos Buttler.’
Jos Buttler has become the sixth batsman to score three or more centuries in IPL. Before him, Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli, David Warner, Shane Watson and Sanju Samson have scored three or more centuries. Gayle has 6, Virat has 5, Warner has 4, Watson has 4 and Samson has 3 centuries. Apart from this, this is the third century by Rajasthan Royals at the Brabourne Stadium.
