Mithali Raj Retires: Mithali Raj hangs a bat, know what she wrote in her retirement post

New Delhi. Indian women’s cricket team’s ODI and Test captain Mithali Raj on Wednesday announced her retirement from all forms of cricket. He represented India in international cricket for 23 years. Mithali was the captain of Team India for a long time. He is the only male/female cricketer in the world whose ODI career was 22 years 274 days. In this case even Sachin Tendulkar was left behind. Mithali said, ‘Now the time has come for the youth to take up the responsibility.’

Mithali Raj Announcing his retirement, wrote on the social site Instagram. ‘I went on a trip to India wearing a blue jersey. Because representing your country is the biggest honor. There were some ups and downs in this journey. Each moment taught me something new. The last 23 years have been the most satisfying, struggling and enjoyable of my life.

Mithali further wrote, ‘Like all journeys, this too had to end. This is the day when I announce my retirement from all forms of international cricket.

Mithali wrote, ‘I think this is the perfect time for me to retire. The team is in safe hands. There are many young talented players in the team. The future of Indian women’s cricket team is bright. Now the time has come for the young players to take up the responsibility. I have led the team for a long time which is an honor for me. Through this I got recognition. Apart from this, Mithali also thanked BCCI Secretary Jay Shah.

Mithali Raj played 12 Test matches for India in which she scored 699 runs. He scored 1 century and 4 half-centuries in Tests. His best score in the biggest format of cricket was 214 runs. She is the first female cricketer to score the youngest double century in Tests. Mithali represented Team India in 232 ODIs in which she scored 7805 runs. In ODI cricket, he scored 7 centuries and 64 half-centuries.

She is the first female cricketer in the world to score the most runs in ODIs. His highest score in ODI was 125 not out. Apart from this, Mithali’s bat also played a lot in T20 International.
