Pakistan’s wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan has established himself as one of the finest batsman in recent times. He was instrumental in taking Pakistan to the semi-finals in the T20 World Cup 2021. In the first match of the same tournament, he led Pakistan to a memorable 10-wicket victory with an unbeaten 152-run partnership with captain Babar Azam against India. This was Pakistan’s first win against India in World Cup history. Recalling the match against India, Rizwan has told how it was his experience of meeting MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli for the first time. Teams of India and Pakistan will now face each other in the T20 World Cup 2022 on 23 October.

Rizwan also spoke about county cricket, where he was Cheteshwar Pujara’s teammate in Sussex.

Rizwan said on Wahid Khan’s YouTube show ‘Cricket Baaz’, ‘That was the first time I met Kohli. From what I had heard about him, like other players said, Virat is very aggressive. But the way he met me before and after the match, it was wonderful. If I said – he is our Virat Kohli, it is because we are a family. Of course there are no stars when we come on the field. There is no brotherhood or anything between us in the field. But off the field when we met Kohli and some of our players also met MS Dhoni. We met with much love and affection. Nothing was different.
