The first ODI of the 3-match series between India and Bangladesh will be played on Sunday.
Umran Malik has been included in the ODI squad in place of injured Mohammed Shami.
New Delhi. Indian cricket team’s experienced fast bowler Mohammed Shami has been ruled out of the 3-match ODI series against Bangladesh (IND vs BAN) due to injury. Shami has a shoulder injury. In place of Shami, young pacer Umran Malik has been included in the Indian ODI squad. Shami has shared some of his pictures on social media in which he is seen getting a checkup done in the hospital. Seeing Shami’s hospital photo, people are praying for his speedy recovery.
Mohammed Shami has shared four pictures on his official Facebook page. In these pictures, he is seen getting a checkup done while lying on the bed in the hospital. A female doctor can be seen doing a checkup of Shami’s shoulder. Shami is lying down in the first picture while he is sitting in the second picture. Similarly, in the third picture, the female doctor is giving injection in his shoulder. Shami has written in the caption of the photo that he has faced injury many times in his career and has learned a lot from it. He has assured his fans of a strong comeback.
Shami injured during practice session
Mohammed Shami was injured in the practice session after returning from Australia. Now he is finding it difficult to play even in the 2-match Test series against Bangladesh. How serious is Shami’s shoulder injury, it is not yet known. In the three-match series against Bangladesh, now the responsibility of fast bowling will be on the shoulders of Mohammad Siraj, Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar, Umran Malik and Kuldeep Sen.

32-year-old Mohammed Shami has so far taken 216 wickets in 60 Test matches for India, while Shami has 152 wickets in 82 ODIs. Shami has taken 24 victims in 23 T20 International matches. Umran Malik, who was included in the team in place of Shami, recently made his ODI debut against New Zealand.
