Recalling the tour of Australia, Mohammad Siraj said, ‘The Kovid-19 protocol was strictly enforced at that time. We had to stay in quarantine. When we had practice, I came to know about the death of my father. My mother made me strong during that time. He told me, ‘Fulfill your father’s dream and make the country proud. That was my only inspiration. I didn’t even know whether I would get a chance to play or not because senior bowlers were present in the team.
Siraj did amazing
On the tour of Australia, Mohammad Siraj showed a wonderful game. India won the series 2-1. Siraj had a memorable debut in the Melbourne Test, as he took 3/37 in the second innings to help India seal an eight-wicket win against Australia. In that series, fast bowler Siraj took 13 wickets, including five wickets at the Gabba. He was the third highest wicket taker in the series. Only Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood were involved ahead of them.
