Nissan, Renault sold so many cars in June 2023, know who sold how much

Sales of Nissan and Renault have registered a decline in June 2023. While Nissan’s sales declined by 27 percent year-on-year, Renault’s sales declined by 42 percent year-on-year. Nissan’s month-on-month sales also declined by 3 percent, but in Renault’s case it grew by 18 percent.

The Nissan Magnite is currently the only offering in Nissan’s portfolio as the Kicks was discontinued earlier this year due to the new BS6 Phase-II emission regulations. The Renault lineup includes the Triber, Kiger and the Kwid.

Nissan sales in June 2023

in June 2023 Nissan Motor India sales declined by 27 percent year-on-year and sold 2,552 units of Magnite on a month-on-month basis. This was lower than the 3,515 units sold in June 2022. Month-on-month sales were also down by 3 per cent as compared to 2,618 units sold in May 2023. Sales of the Nissan Kicks have now stopped. Nissan Magnite recently crossed the sales mark of 1 lakh units. In June 2023, the company also introduced the new Magnite GEZA Special Edition.

Renault India June 2023 sales

Renault India currently has 1.7 per cent market share, down 1.2 per cent from 2.9 per cent in June 2022. Sales declined 42 percent year-on-year with every model in the company’s lineup, though performance improved 18 percent month-on-month.

The company sold 5,450 units in June 2023, down from 9,317 units sold in June 2022, compared to 4,625 units sold in May 2023. The 2023 Renault Kwid, Kiger and Triber were launched earlier this year. The updated models with the new norms are now phase II compliant with BS6 emissions while they also meet the RDE norms.

Renault Triber tops the list with 2,257 units sold last month which is 33 percent less than 3,346 units sold in June 2022. Month-on-month sales improved by 7 percent from 2,115 units sold in May 2023. Kiger sales saw a 46 per cent year-on-year decline in June 2023. 1,844 units were sold in the last month, which is less than 3,411 units sold in June 2022. Month-on-month sales improved by 8 percent from 1,713 units sold in May 2023. Last month, Kwid sales fell 47 percent to 1,349 units. This was against 2,560 units sold in June 2022. Month-on-month sales improved by 69 percent as compared to 797 units sold in May 2023.
