New Delhi. The newly appointed captain of Kolkata Knight Riders, Nitish Rana, reached the temple on Tuesday after getting the responsibility of leadership. Before the start of IPL 2023, Nitish Rana appeared in Kalighat temple of Kolkata. During this he offered prayers. The 16th season of IPL is starting on 31st March. However, Kolkata has to play its first match against Punjab Kings on April 1. In the absence of Shreyas Iyer, experienced batsman Nitish Rana has been given the command of the KKR team.

Along with Nitish Rana, coach Chandrakant Pandit also reached the Kalighat temple in Kolkata. Wishing for the victory of the team, both took the blessings of Maa Kali.
