Lahore: Former Pakistan captain and one of the great batsmen Inzamam-ul-Haq has to be hospitalized in Lahore. Earlier there were reports that he had suffered a heart attack. However, now Inzamam has dismissed all these media reports. He himself has told that he had not had a stroke.
Inzamam did not have a heart attack
Amidst the news of former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq suffering a heart attack, he has clarified that he had not suffered a stroke. According to him, he had to undergo angioplasty due to blockage of the artery. Inzamam posted the video on his official YouTube channel saying that he had gone to the hospital complaining of abdominal pain and during a routine check-up, an artery block was detected.
Inzamam said, ‘I want to thank all the people in Pakistan and the world who prayed for my health. I thank the people of Pakistan, the cricketers here and everyone around the world.

Inzamam said, ‘I saw the report in which it is being said that I had a heart attack. This is wrong. I went to my doctor for routine checkup who said that he would have to undergo angioplasty. During angioplasty, doctors noticed that I had an artery block after which they inserted a stent. It was easy and successful and I returned home after 12 hours in the hospital. I am fine now’.
Inzamam said, ‘I went to the doctor because I felt somewhat uncomfortable. It was not even close to my heart. If I delayed showing up, the doctors said it could have affected my heart.
Cricket career of Inzamam-ul-Haq
Inzamam-ul-Haq is the highest run-scorer for Pakistan. Inzamam-ul-Haq has scored 11,701 runs in 375 matches in ODI cricket, while he is the third Pakistani batsman to score the most runs in Test cricket. Inzamam-ul-Haq has scored 8,829 runs in 119 matches in the Test format. In 2007, this batsman retired from cricket. He has also been the chief selector of the Pakistan team from 2016 to 2019. Apart from this, he has also served as the coach of Afghanistan.
