New Delhi. Badly adamant on organizing Asia Cup 2023 in Pakistan, PCB has once again come forward with a new proposal. After India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka have also come in opposition to holding the Asia Cup in Pakistan. At the same time, indications are also being given from the PCB that if the event is not held in Pakistan, then it will be out of this tournament itself.
According to the report, a meeting of PCB and Asian Cricket Council was held on Wednesday. In this meeting, a demand was made by the PCB to organize the Asia Cup in two parts. During the first phase, except India, all other teams will go to Pakistan and play matches. During the second phase, all other teams including India will play Asia Cup matches in UAE. It was also said that if this proposal was rejected, then Pakistan would not be a part of this tournament.
Pakistan has the right to organize the Asia Cup 2023 this time. India has already made it clear that Team India will not go to play in Pakistan. In such a situation, Pakistan had the support of other boards. Now Sri Lanka and Bangladesh Cricket Board have also objected to holding the Asia Cup in Pakistan. Both these boards are not even ready to play cricket in UAE in the heat of September.
At this time, Sri Lanka is being considered as the most suitable place for organizing the Asia Cup 2023. However, it is being told that Pakistan is not ready for this.
