Pakistan spinner Abrar Ahmed created history on debut
Abrar took a total of 10 wickets in the very first Test match.
New Delhi. The Pakistan cricket team is currently playing a three-match Test series against England at home. After losing the first match, the hosts made a tremendous comeback. Young spinner Abrar has given Pakistan a chance to make a comeback by performing brilliantly in his debut. He did a wonderful job of taking 10 wickets while playing the first match and became the first bowler of Pakistan to do so.
Pakistan strengthened its hold on the third day in the Test being played in Multan against England. The visiting team had won the toss and elected to bat first, but debutant spinner Abrar bowled in such a way that proved the decision wrong. The English team, which scored more than 600 runs in the Rawalpindi Test, was reduced to just 281 runs here. However, Pakistan’s batsmen could not take much advantage and were bundled out for 202 runs in the first innings.
Abrar created history by taking 10 wickets on debut
Abrar Ahmed has become the first spinner from Pakistan to take 10 wickets in debut test. He broke the back of the English team in the first innings and took not one or two but 7 wickets. He achieved this 7 wickets by giving 114 runs in 22 overs. Abrar’s fire was visible in the second innings as well. He took the first three wickets in his name and took 10 wickets to register his name in the record book.
7 consecutive wickets in the first innings
Against England, Abrar took the wickets of 7 opening batsmen one after the other. Jack Crowley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Harry Brook, Joe Root, Captain Ben Stokes and Will Jack, he took all the top 7 wickets. His fire continued in the second innings as well and he took three wickets in the first 5 while 2 were run out.
