Jamshedpur. Jamshedpur’s daughter Komolika has brought laurels to Jharkhand by winning silver and bronze medals in the 36th National Archery Competition in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Today every citizen of Jharkhand is proud of Komolika Bari, but very few people know the story of the struggle and sacrifice of her parents behind her success. The parents of Jharkhand and Jamshedpur’s daughter Komolika encouraged the daughter with struggle. He even sold his house in Birsa Nagar Jamshedpur to promote his daughter so that she could be promoted in the field of archery.

Komolika Bari hails from Jamshedpur, Jharkhand and started her career in 2012 from ISWP Archery Centre. Komolika got admission in Tata Archery Academy in 2016 after 4 years of brilliant performance in Mini and Sub Junior category in Taar Company. In the Tata Archery Academy, he was taught the tricks of archery by legendary instructors like Purnima Mahto and Dharmendra Tiwari as Dronacharya. In the last four years, Komalika has won one and a half dozen national and international medals.

Komolika’s father Ghanshyam Bari, who once worked as a tea stall and sometimes as an LIC agent, had even sold his house to fulfill his daughter’s dream. His father had sold his house to buy a bow for three lakh rupees. His dream is that his daughter should represent India in the Olympics. Komolika’s mother Lakshmi Bari was an Anganwadi worker but is now at home. Komolika’s mother wanted her daughter to make archery her career and make her name famous in this field.

On selling her house, Lakshmi Bari says that she is sad, but money was needed for her daughter to advance in archery and that is why she collected the money by selling the house so that no problem could arise. Today he is very happy that the daughter is moving forward and the daughter also dreams of making India proud in the Olympic Games. Currently, Komolika Bari’s father, mother and younger brother live in a rented house in Birsanagar, Jamshedpur. On behalf of Tata Steel, Komolika is engaged in archery practice at Tata JRD Stadium.
