PKL 9: Jaipur beat Telugu Titans by a huge margin, Puneri Paltan turn the match around in the last raid

Bangalore. On Tuesday, Jaipur Pink Panthers defeated Bengal Warriors by a huge margin of 39-24 in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL9) match on the basis of Arjun Deswal and V Ajit’s brilliant play. This is Jaipur’s fourth consecutive win this season, while Bengal has got its first defeat after three consecutive wins. Arjun once again scored a Super Ten (10 or more points), making it Jaipur’s fourth win in five matches. In another match, Puneri Paltan defeated Telugu Titans in the last raid. This is Paltan’s second consecutive win and the team has returned to form with this.

For the first 10 minutes of the match, the match was going on evenly and no difference was visible between the two teams. When it seemed that the fans were getting to see a tough fight between the two teams running in the best form, then Jaipur slowly started strengthening the hold on the match. Jaipur took a 6-point lead in the match by all-outing Bengal in the 14th minute. Bengal could not make a comeback after being all out and by the end of the first half, Jaipur had an 8 point lead.

Bengal captain Maninder Singh flopped badly and managed only one point despite 8 raids in the first half. Arjun Deshwal did a great job for Jaipur.

Puneri Paltan reversed the match, registered its second win
In a thriller that lasted till the last raid, Paltan took advantage of Titans’ mistakes and registered their second win in a row. Titans have their fourth defeat in the season. Paltan’s game was not very good in the match and they got this victory only because of unnecessary mistakes made by Titans.

The problem for Puneri Paltan was that Aslam Inamdar was not running. Titans did not give place to Siddharth Desai in the starting seven. Monu Goyat could not open the account even after doing four raids. By half time Paltan took lead 11-9. In the second half, Paltan’s game saw further improvement and they took a five-point lead in the match by all-out the Titans in the third minute. After being all out, Siddharth reduced the difference for his team by raiding two points.

Vinay hit a super raid in the 15th minute and Titans equalized. The score was even till the last raid and it was a do or die raid for Paltan. Monu Goyat made a mistake in this and Aslam got a red point and along with it the match was also won.
