Former Indian captain Virat Kohli could not be a part of the first match of the three-match ODI series against England due to injury. Earlier it was reported that there was a groin injury during the third T20. However, it was said then that he would be fit for the first ODI. But now the question has arisen whether Virat will play in the second ODI or not?
Former India spinner Pragyan Ojha believes that Kohli should be fully fit for the second ODI if the injury is not really serious. If he doesn’t play the second ODI, his injury is serious.
Pragyan Ojha told Cricbuzz, “If he is fit then Kohli should play. I had heard that he would not be available for the first ODI. But will be available in second and third. I think his injury was not too serious so he was kept out of the first ODI. However, if Kohli does not play the next game, the injury will be serious. The groin injury will be much bigger than what is being told in the report.”
It is not yet known whether Kohli has recovered from the injury or not. If he recovers in time for the second ODI at Lord’s on Thursday, Ojha said it will be interesting to see who comes out in place of the former India captain.

Ojha said, “It will be interesting to see who goes out if Kohli is fit. According to me, either Shreyas Iyer or Suryakumar Yadav will go. Kohli should replace Shreyas Iyer. Suryakumar is playing really well. His rhythm should not be disturbed. In-form players should be in the team.
