Dravid will now replace Ravi Shastri, whose tenure ends after the T20 World Cup. Gavaskar told ‘India Today’, ‘Indian cricket will only go ahead. He will bring with him a lot of experience and the style of work that he followed during his playing days.
Apart from winning the next two matches against Scotland and Namibia in the T20 World Cup, India will also have to expect favorable results for the rest of the teams. “After this tournament you will have a new coach and the sooner he is appointed, the better as he will have time to strategize,” Gavaskar said. India still have two more matches to play and seeing them will help Dravid decide his future strategy.
