Rajasthan Royals beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 61 runs in 5th Match of IPL 2022 at Pune


The team of Sunrisers Hyderabad, captained by Kane Williamson, came out to play their first match in the Indian Premier League i.e. IPL 2022. In the very first match, the team of Sunrisers Hyderabad was seen eating all four. The team of Hyderabad did not perform well in any field against Rajasthan Royals and this was the reason why Sunrisers Hyderabad suffered a crushing defeat in the fifth match of the 15th season of IPL. Rajasthan Royals captained by Sanju Samson won this match by 61 runs.

Talking about this match, Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Kane Williamson did the same, which was happening till now in IPL 2022. Yes, Kane Williamson won the toss and elected to bowl first. In such a situation, Rajasthan Royals came out to bat first. Hyderabad would have got a good start, but Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled a no ball, on which Jos Buttler was dismissed. However, after this Rajasthan changed their attitude and started smashing Hyderabad’s pace attack from both ends.

Sanju Samson, playing the 100th match for Rajasthan Royals, scored a fifty in 25 balls. Rajasthan team scored 210 runs in the allotted 20 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. Samson scored 55, Devdutt Padikkal 41, Jos Buttler 35, Shimron Hetmyer 32 and Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 20 runs for Rajasthan. Umran Malik and T Natarajan got 2-2 wickets for Hyderabad, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar Romario Shepherd got one success each.
