In the 54th match of IPL 2021, Rajasthan Royals lost to Kolkata Knight Riders by a huge margin of 86 runs. In front of the KKR bowlers, one of the Rajasthan batsmen did not play and the entire team was all out after scoring just 85 runs. Rahul Tewatia contributed 44 runs for the team. Eight batsmen of Rajasthan could not even cross the double figure. Due to the disappointing performance of the batsmen, the Rajasthan team has made a shameful record in IPL history without even wanting to make its name.

In fact, Rajasthan Royals has become the first team in the history of IPL to lose their seven wickets for the lowest runs. Chasing a target of 172 runs against KKR, Sanju Samson’s team broke this uncharted record by losing their first seven wickets for just 35 runs. In front of the Kolkata bowlers, none of the batsmen except Rahul Teotia could play against the Rajasthan side and the team lost wickets at frequent intervals. KKR have almost confirmed their place in the playoffs by defeating Rajasthan.
For Kolkata, Shivam Mavi wreaked havoc with the ball and took four wickets for just 21 runs. Apart from Shivam, Lockie Ferguson also took three big wickets for just 18 runs in four overs. Earlier to the toss, KKR scored 171 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs thanks to 56 runs by Shubman Gill and 38 runs by Venkatesh Iyer. In the bowling, Chetan Sakariya took one wicket for 23 runs in his four overs for Rajasthan.
