After taking the first wicket in the Ranji Trophy after a long gap of 9 years, S Sreesanth tweeted and wrote, ‘This is my first wicket in 9 years. When I got the first wicket by the grace of God, I became very happy and started bowing down on the ground. Sreesanth is playing first-class cricket for the first time since 2013. 38-year-old Sreesanth has so far taken 213 wickets in first class cricket. During this he has taken 5 wickets 6 times. In 2013, he was banned for spot-fixing in IPL. But later the court reduced the sentence to 7 years.

Best performance by 6 wickets for 55 runs

S Sreesanth played 27 Test matches for India, in which he took 87 wickets. Sreesanth’s best performance in Test was 5 wickets for 40 runs. Apart from this, he also represented Team India in 53 ODIs and took 75 wickets. His best performance in ODIs was 6 for 55. He also played 10 T20 International matches for India and took 7 wickets. Sreesanth, who was part of India’s world winning team in 2011, wants to return to limited overs cricket.
