New Delhi. After thrashing Australia in Nagpur, Team India has strengthened its hold in the Delhi Test as well. The whole match changed in just 3 balls on the third day of the Delhi Test. In these three balls, R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja showed Australia’s three batsmen the way to the pavilion. Australia’s team could not recover from these shocks and got limited to 113 runs in the second innings. Ravindra Jadeja took 7 wickets while R Ashwin got 3 wickets in his account and after Nagpur, the way to Delhi victory became easy for India. India got a target of 115 runs to win.
R Ashwin started to wound Australia on the third day of the Delhi Test. Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed Matt Renshaw on the last ball of the 23rd over of Australia’s innings. Renshaw became LBW in an attempt to sweep Ashwin’s ball. He also took the review. But it did not work for Australia. Ravindra Jadeja came to do the next over and he hunted Peter Handscomb and then Australian captain Pat Cummins for 2 consecutive balls. Peter Handscomb scored the highest 72 runs for Australia in the first innings of the Delhi Test. He could not even open the account in the second innings. Similarly, Pat Cummins also scored 33 runs in the first innings and he too could not move the scoreboard forward in the second innings. In this context, both these wickets were very important for India. Australia lost 6 wickets within 40 runs in the first session on the third day of the Delhi Test. Ravindra Jadeja took 7 wickets and now after Nagpur, Delhi is also not far for Team India.
