He was under the supervision of doctors and on medical advice, he has been ruled out for the rest of the IPL season. Ravindra Jadeja captained in 8 matches this season, in which the team could win only two matches.

Jadeja was handed over the captaincy of Chennai Super Kings i.e. CSK by MS Dhoni before IPL 2022, but during this neither the team could perform well nor Jadeja could perform well.
