New Delhi. After losing 5 consecutive matches in the Women’s Premier League, the Royal Challengers Bangalore team seems to be making a comeback. RCB has registered its second consecutive win. Smriti Mandhana-led RCB defeated Gujarat Giants in the 16th match of WPL 2023. In the match played at Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadium, Gujarat Giants captain Sneh Rana won the toss and decided to bat first. Laura Wolvaardt got Gujarat off to a great start. Laura hit 68 runs in 42 balls. Apart from him, Ashley Gardner played an inning of 41 runs in 26 balls. Gujarat scored 188 runs losing 4 wickets in 20 overs. In response, RCB achieved this target.

Sophie Devine played a fiery innings for RCB. Sophie hit 99 runs in 36 balls. She may have missed the century. But, definitely gave victory to RCB. Sophie hit 9 fours and 8 sixes. Means 84 runs were achieved only from the boundary. Sophie had hit the fastest century in the history of women’s T20 2 years ago. RCB achieved the target of 189 runs in 15.3 overs. After the dismissal of Sophie Devine, Alice Parry and Heather Knight won the team by adding an unbeaten 32 runs in 22 balls.
