New Delhi. Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 4 runs in the very exciting match of IPL-2021 due to the strong performance of their bowlers. In this match, pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar prevented Bangalore from scoring the 13 runs needed to win in the last over of the innings and contributed significantly to his team’s victory. Bhuvi also told what kind of successful strategy he made when AB de Villiers was batting in front.
RCB’s defeat after four consecutive victories sealed the top two positions for Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings. Hyderabad scored 141 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in this match, after which Bangalore team could score 137 runs for 6 wickets.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar said after the victory, ‘Hand is fine. I got hit thrice after dropping a catch. I was thinking about this whole process when AB was batting. I was trying to bowl a wide yorker. I bowled a yorker at the stumps and AB hit a six. I bowled a wide yorker again. If you look at the scores at three places, it is not much. We thought though we were able to score 10-15 runs less on this ground.
RCB needed 44 runs in the last five overs. The team’s 100 runs were completed in the 16th over. Rashid got Padikkal caught by Abdul Samad. He hit four fours while facing 52 balls. AB de Villiers hit one on Rashid while Shahbaz Ahmed hit two fours on Umran Malik. RCB needed 18 runs to win in the last two overs. Jason Holder got Shahbaz caught by Williamson who scored 14 runs. Only five runs were scored in this over.
Bhuvneshwar had to stop RCB from scoring 13 runs in the last over. Only one run was scored off the first three balls but de Villiers hit a six on the fourth ball. The fifth ball again went blank and only one run was scored off the last ball, which led Sunrisers to victory.
