Jio has today launched JioTag in the Indian market for its devices and accessories. It is a bluetooth tracker like Apple AirTag. It uses Bluetooth connectivity to connect with the users smartphone and helps in tracking the item to which the tracker is connected. This new tracker prepared by Reliance Jio will compete with Apple’s AirTags to some extent. It is light and it is being claimed that it is very easy to use. Users can attach the tag to their wallet, handbag or any other personal item, making it easy to track that item. Lanyard cable helps to attach the tracker to other accessories.

It provides a tracking distance of up to 20 meters indoors and up to 50 meters outdoors. Talking about dimensions, the length of JioTag is 38.2mm, width 38.2mm, thickness 7.2mm and weight 9.5 grams. Apart from tracking items of regular use, the tracker can also be used to track users’ smartphones. Double-tapping the JioTag rings the phone even when it is in silent mode.

Jio community find feature is supported by this newly launched bluetooth tracker. When people fail to find a connected item at the last disconnected location, they can list their JioTag as lost on the GeoThings app on their smartphone and the community find feature will search and report the location of the lost JioTag.
