Dehradun. Rishabh Pant, the wicketkeeper of the Indian cricket team, became a victim of a horrific road accident on 30 December. Now a new twist has come in this matter. He says that while trying to save the car from the pit of the road, his car collided with the divider. He said this to Shyam Sharma, director of Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA).

Sharma met him on Saturday at the hospital in Dehradun. After this he told the media that Rishabh Pant’s condition is stable and his health is improving rapidly. BCCI doctors are in touch with the doctors here. Jai Shah is also keeping an eye on this matter. For the time being, Rishabh Pant will remain admitted in this hospital. He said, Rishabh has told that he was trying to save the car from the pit and the accident happened.

Pant may take 9 months to recover
On the other hand, Dr. Kaushal Kant Mishra, orthopedic surgeon at Fortis Escort Hospital, said that ‘there are four ligaments in the knee. Rishabh Pant is injured in ACL ligament, which means he cannot do any running work. It takes more than nine months for the ligament to heal completely. In such a situation, it may take nine months to one year for Pant to get fully fit and get on the field.

Significantly, Rishabh Pant was going from Delhi to his home in Roorkee on December 30 at around 5.15 am. Meanwhile, after hitting the railing on the highway, his car caught fire. Rishabh himself came out by breaking the wind screen of the car. At the time of the incident, the Haryana Roadways bus was passing through there. Driver Sushil Kumar along with his colleagues not only gave Pant a quilt after he was injured, but also called the police and an ambulance. Due to this, the Indian cricketer could be treated on time.
