Rishabh Pant: BCCI will bear the entire cost of Pant’s treatment… airlifted to Mumbai


new Delhi: Indian cricket team’s wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant (Rishabh Pant Injury Update) has been airlifted from Dehradun to Mumbai. Pant will now be treated at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Medical Research Institute in Mumbai. Pant has an injury to his knee and ankle. Rishabh Pant, 25, was injured in a road accident in the early hours of 30 December. After which he was admitted to Max Hospital in Dehradun. Jai Shah said during a conversation with the Indian Express newspaper that the BCCI will bear the entire cost of Rishabh Pant’s treatment. It was told that if needed, Rishabh Pant’s treatment can be done abroad as well.

Pant will be treated under the supervision of Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala at Kokila Ben Hospital. It was informed by the BCCI that Rishabh Pant’s ligament has been torn, which has to undergo surgery. His surgery and rest of the treatment will be done in Mumbai itself. Initially, it was informed that Rishabh Pant had dozed off while driving the car in the early hours. Later it was informed that Pant’s car met with an accident while trying to avoid a pothole in the middle of the road.

The accident was so severe that his car was completely burnt. The driver and conductor of a roadways bus passing through there somehow pulled Pant out of the car. After which he was admitted to Max Hospital in Dehradun for treatment.
