Rishabh Pant has created such a ruckus in the Edgbaston Test that in one stroke he destroyed many records. Not only did he do wonders as a wicket-keeper batsman, but in a particular case he has also equaled Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar. Earlier, only Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar were named in the list of Indian batsmen who scored centuries and half-centuries in the same Test match in England, but on the fourth day of Edgbaston Test, Rishabh Pant also made a strong entry in this elite list. Rishabh Pant was dismissed for 57 on the fourth day of the Edgbaston Test, while he had scored 146 runs in the first innings.
There are only five such batsmen from India in England, who have scored 200+ runs in a Test match and Pant has also included his name in this special list. Sunil Gavaskar, Team India’s current head coach Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli were already part of this list and now Pant has also joined it.
Pant scored a total of 203 runs in this test match and took out Team India with difficulty. When Pant came out to bat in the first innings, at that time Team India seemed to be in trouble after losing five wickets before 100 runs. Pant, along with Ravindra Jadeja, pulled Team India out of trouble and took it to the driving seat.
